In the Philippines, we have a tradition called 9mornings. Which people or Christians go to church and attend mass and receive the Holy Eucharist for 9 consecutive days until December 24.
Since I was a kid, I believed that every time you complete the 9 mornings, your wish will be granted. I hardly complete those since the mass always started at dawn like 4 or 5am. It was fun especially if you go with your friends and family. You will feel the spirit of Christmas. People may say that Jesus is not real (atheists), but in my heart I know I have God and I know He is my Saviour. This year I may missed again the 9mornings, since there is none here on where I am at, but in my heart and mind I still wish for one thing for this year and that would be peace and love to all nation and human kind.

I miss Simbang Gabi.being with family and friends during holiday seasons is more exciting and meaningful, but I guess wherever we are the true essence of this lies in our heart--our belief to our Saviour.
